January beauty favourites

Here are a couple of my beauty favourites for January! (I know it's nearly the end of February now, but just roll with it.)

1. Carli Bybel palette by BH Cosmetics

This will be one of my faves for the rest of time I think. This palette is just LIFE.
The colours are so pigmented - especially the highlighters, which are absolutely
incomparable to any other highlighters I have used. I LIVE for highlighting my
entire face and I love how shimmery the highlights on this palette are. All
the eyeshadow colours are the perfect balance of shimmery and matte shades,
that I think would look great on any skin tone. The mauve colours are my everyday
go-to eye looks. Basically, this palette is the best thing I ever bought and it was
definitely worth the wait for it to be shipped from the US.

2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow pomade

I've only been using this for a couple of weeks but I can't even tell you what
a difference this has made to my brows. I don't have a great shape in my eyebrows
because they suck, I can't help it, but it makes finding products for my eyebrows
really difficult because pretty much everything just highlights how terrible they are.
I've read a few reviews and watched videos where people say they tend to avoid
pomades because they aren't very forgiving - which ultimately is true, but
I find this to be so much more natural looking than brow pencils and the
pomade fills in the bald patches of my eyebrows perfectly. I've really noticed a
difference in how my brows look since using this! I think it works a lot better for
those who have less hairs/sparse patches in their brows, because the pomade naturally
fills those parts in and makes them look thicker. I love this!

3. Benefit Porefessional matte rescue

I did not expect to love this product as much as I do! The newest product from
the Porefessional range, this matte rescue gel absorbs excess oil on the face and
leaves it looking naturally matte. I have real trouble with my combination skin, as
it is really super dry but also very oily. I moisturise every day before putting on my
makeup, but I feel like I can't pull off the 'dewy' look and I just look greasy, so a lot
of the time my face is quite shiny because I have to moisturise so much. I started using
this a few weeks ago and I have noticed such a difference in my skin and how my makeup
applies. The gel is really cooling on the skin and absorbs instantly, taking excess oil with it.
I only focus it on my oily t-zone, so you don't need a lot of product, and my skin is
instantly matte. LOVE this! Yay Benefit!

4. Lush 'Big' sea salt shampoo

I know it's a big statement, but I'm just gonna put this out there - I firmly
believe there is no other shampoo that exists in this world that will EVER
make my hair as soft as this shampoo does. There, I said it. With those big-ass salt crystals,
I feel like an actual mermaid. It's a weird product to get used to as it's quite coarse
at first and takes a while to lather up, but when my hair is all combed and dried it's
literally so soft that I can't even tie it up, because the bobble slips back out. I love it. (But
I save it for special occasions just to revel in that softness every now and again.) Note:
I couldn't photograph this because we have ran out! I'll be repurchasing on payday, for sure.

5. Benefit They're Real! tinted primer

I thought the idea of an eyelash 'primer' was a bit odd, especially as it is pretty
much just a mascara, isn't it? But I am really pleasantly surprised with this tinted
primer! The formula is a lot thinner than your usual mascara, which means you can
layer mascara over the top if you want to for a fuller look. Because it's tinted as well,
you can absolutely just use it on its own for a more natural look. I have the brown
colour which makes my eyelashes look even more natural. I have been wearing this just
on its own for the last month or so because I don't even feel like I need to add any more
coats of mascara. The formula isn't clumpy at all and covers my lashes from root to tip,
making them look the longest they can be. I'll definitely be repurchasing this when it runs out!

What are you loving this month?
